Startup of the Week - Dock Name

by Startacus Admin
What’s in a name? Quite a lot actually!
And as we all know when it comes to naming our startups, it can be a long deliberated process. Brainstorming sessions galore until eventually inspiration strikes. Or was that just us with Startacus? I digress…
The fact is that if you happen to be struggling with a name for your new enterprise or project, you’re going to love our latest Startup of the Week (fresh from our collaboration space!)
Dock Name is effectively a crowdsourcing platform to help startups find their domain name.
Whether you’re creating a new social network, an app or simply looking for a catchy domain for promoting your product or service online, this is the place to do it.
In essence, you simply submit a brief description of your business or product and then wait whilst you get proposals from people who have suitable domains that match your requirements. The Dock Name community then will vote for their fave suggestion although of course you’re under no obligation to accept or ultimately buy a particular domain.
What Dock Name does is simply help domain name owners connect with startups on the lookout for suitable domains. The platform doesn’t get involved with the negotiations between buyer and seller but simply helps to facilitate connections between them. Simple but effective!
Got domain names of your own that you’re not using? It’d be worth your while taking a look at the current requests. Who knows who you could help!
Like finding out about innovative startups? Why not check out our previous Startup of the Week? And don't forget to tell Dock Name what you think of them, by commenting in their collaboration space!
