Startup of the Week - Compare and Share
by Startacus Admin
The Sharing Economy, the Mesh Economy, Collaborative Consumption - call it what you will - the economic model of sharing skills, goods and services seems to be here to stay. And with new projects, platforms and initiatives being created all the time to help that sharing take place, it can be pretty hard to keep track of what’s out there.
Until now that is - thanks to our latest Startup of the Week.
The company’s aim is to help us all save both time and money by becoming the definitive resource for us all to find the goods, products and services that other people out there are willing to share.
Whether you’re looking to rent an apartment in New York or find a car share from Brighton to London, you can use the site to find the best deals and options.
Right now accommodation and transport are the two main areas that the site is focused on and partners include some major players such as Flipkey, Zipcar and Housetrip. More partners are being added all the time and the long term strategy is to link with all sharing economy initiatives and sites. How amazing will that be!
In essence, Compare and Share is a simple idea but we reckon it’s a great one.
Admittedly we may be a tad biased - after all collaboration is way up there on our agenda too (*cheeky plug for Startacus’ collaboration space). However, even so, the basic premise of Compare and Share is in a nutshell, pretty darn useful.
Go check it out for yourself - we bet you’ll like it too.
