Startup of the Week - Clinch

by Startacus Admin
Hiring staff can be a pretty mundane affair - regardless of whether you use social media, online job boards or the old school ads in the local paper. Of course if you’re the one looking for a job, the same can apply. Admittedly some jobs may pique your interest more than others but on the whole the entire job hunting process can become a tad dull to say the least.
That though is all set to change, thanks to our latest Startup of the Week.
Clinch is an online platform which brings hiring campaigns to life in an entirely new way.
Basically, Clinch uses a team of professional photographers who visit a company and take a series of photos which truly represent that company’s workplace and culture. The pics are then added to a company’s Clinch profile page as is all the relevant info a potential candidate would need about a job or vacancy. By providing candidates with a real visual insight into what working in a particular company could be like, Clinch in essence provides a showcase for employers that more traditional recruitment methods can’t.
For a jobseeker, those profile photos can help bring a workplace truly to life. Add to that the fact that the company and job info is all written in plain English - no jargon, no clichés, no buzzwords here - and you can see why Clinch is a unique and welcome addition to the recruitment scene.
Jobseekers can also engage directly with employers by asking them questions using Clinch’s ‘Ask the Employer’ feature and thereby make better informed decisions about potential job applications.
We reckon that Clinch is a real win win for both employers and jobseekers and we reckon too that you’re gonna be hearing a lot more about this innovative newcomer to the recruitment sector. All good things of course!
