Startup of the Week - City Pantry

by Startacus Admin
Ever had to organise food for an event or gathering? Whether it’s a full blown conference or even just an office lunch, it can become a bit of an ordeal. There’s the usual boring sandwiches, the dull sausage rolls and the knowing that certain people won’t be happy with what you’ve chosen for their delectation.
That’s exactly what makes our latest Startup of the Week so good - it gets rid of the hassle and makes the whole experience a pleasure - for all concerned!
City Pantry is an innovative new marketplace specifically aimed at the catering sector.
At the moment, the platform’s focus is London and if you’re lucky enough to be based in the capital, you can use it to source all the catering for your events, meetups or get togethers.
Street vendors, pop up restaurants, artisan bakeries - they’re all here. And with only a couple of clicks, you could have the wonderful food they produce delivered right to your door.
You can choose from standard packages which are priced per head or if you’re looking for something for a one off bespoke event, you can use the City Pantry platform to get quotes from a whole host of potential catering companies - saving you both time and money. What’s not to love about that?
Of course if you happen to run a food business in London - whether it's from a little corner deli or a popup restaurant, why not use the service to help expand your own business - simply sign up to become one of the City Pantry vendors and get a whole heap of new customers...
City Pantry is a simple idea but a good one. Right now the only thing that we don’t like about it is the fact that it’s only in London! However we understand the City Pantry guys have plans to expand beyond the big smoke and frankly we can’t wait until they do!
