Startup of the Week - Cheese Posties

by Startacus Admin
Every now and again we come across an idea which though simple in its concept, is still quite frankly genius. Our latest Startup of the Week is one such idea.
Cheese Posties is a subscription based startup which delivers cheese toasties directly to your door.
Fear not though, you're not going to be receiving a soggy grilled affair, what you will get instead is all the ingredients to make a perfect gourmet grilled cheese sandwich.
As with many food subscription services, you firstly fill in some details about your own personal preferences - everything from your preference for savoury or sweet flavours or any allergies which you might have.
Once you've subscribed, every week you'll then receive a delightful package containing:
- Fresh bread
- Fine cheese
- Tasty fillings - pickles, condiments, jams etc
- Butter
- A Teflon Toasty bag
- A collectible Toast card with the lowdown on that week's choice
All you've got to do then of course is pop it in the toaster and enjoy!
Subscriptions start from £3.99 per week although there are discounts available if you'd like to order for several weeks at a time. As you'd expect there are also gift subscriptions available.
All the ingredients supplied are locally sourced and the Cheese Posties guys are keen to support as many independent UK manufacturers and artisan food producers as they can.
Whilst this startup won't necessarily appeal to everyone, it certainly appeals to us!
After all, a grilled cheese sandwich is one of life's greatest pleasures, wouldn't you agree? Check out what the guys at cheese toasties are up to!
