Startup of the Week - ChargedUp

by Startacus Admin
ChargedUp - The innovative charging solution for your mobile phone that's building “the UK’s first power bank rental service.”

Yep. Us too.
And it generally tends to be a day when we really need to make or receive an important call!
Anyhow...it’s a problem that we’ve all probably faced at one point or another.
Our latest startup of the week have recognised this very issue and have set about creating a solution.
ChargedUp is “the UK’s first power bank rental service.” In essence this innovative app is completely changing how we all charge our phones when on the go.
Here’s how it works:
Simply use the app to locate your nearest ChargedUp station - this could be anywhere from a shopping centre to a bar. You can then rent a phone battery from one of these stations, carry on with your day and then simply return the battery to the nearest station when it’s convenient for you.
No more worrying about your battery letting you down when you need it most. ChargedUp will enable you to stay mobile whenever you need to.
At the moment, the service is only available in London, and the network of ChargedUp stations is growing all the time. However since it’s a service which would be in demand everywhere, we hope that it won’t be too long before it’s country-wide.
Apart from the obvious convenience that this app provides, what we also really like is the fact that it is powered entirely by Green Energy. It’s therefore helping us as consumers as well as helping the planet.
Hats off to the ChargedUp team - we love what you’re doing...
