Startup of the Week - Car Quids

by Startacus Admin
If you’re a car owner you’ll know only too well that motoring is not always a joy. Whether it’s the traffic jam on the morning commute, the hefty annual insurance premiums or simply expensive day to day running costs. However all is not gloom and doom in the world of motoring! In fact, our latest Startup of the Week is on a mission to bring a little extra joy to drivers all across the UK.
Car Quids is an innovative startup which links motorists with brands who would like to advertise on their cars.
Of course in return for this advertising, the motorists get paid!
The Car Quids concept is very straightforward.
Drivers simply register on the platform and complete a basic form outlining a few details about their car, their driving habits and their lifestyle.
Then it’s over to the Car Quids folk who match those drivers with brands that want to advertise on cars such as theirs.
When a match is made, the drivers are contacted and told about the potential advert - who the advertiser is, what the ad would look like etc etc.
If the driver agrees to go ahead, it’s then just a matter of getting the ads placed on the car by one of Car Quids partner fitters. The ads are generally all vinyl stickers which are placed on the sides of the car and/or the bonnet.
Once the ads are in place, the driver can start earning money - typical earnings are about £100 per month.
When you consider that there’s no real effort required on the driver’s part, it’s easy money!
For brands, it can also be a really effective way of getting their message out there. As you’d expect, Car Quids can provide brands with detailed analytics about advertising campaigns so they can fully measure their impact and performance.
It’s a win win for both drivers and advertisers. Wouldn’t you agree?
