Startup of the Week - BuildurBricks

by Startacus Admin
It may be over 60 years since Lego first came on the market, but it’s as popular now as it ever was. For children (and adults) everywhere it’s as good as it gets in terms of toys. However as many parents will attest to, it can be a tad expensive at times. It’s an issue which our latest Startup of the Week is on a mission to address.
BuildurBricks is an online service which lets you rent Lego sets rather than buying them.
Intrigued?
Here’s how it works…
Simply register on the BuildurBricks site and then create your Build list. You can select from over 150 sets - everything from Minecraft through to Star Wars.
Then select a subscription plan - there are 3 to choose from, namely:
- Starter Plan - £9.99 a month (1 basic set)
- Starter Plus - £19.99 a month (2 medium complexity sets)
- Pro Plan - £24.99 a month ( 1 advance complexity set)
After that, it’s simply a case of building your Lego and then returning it!
All sets are cleaned and sanitised thoroughly before being sent out and checks are made to ensure no pieces are missing.
The benefits?
It is much cheaper to rent a set than to buy it new and it also means that you are not left with a stack of sets which are no longer played with. After all, the novelty can sometimes wear off even the most celebrated of toys!
Since spending on children’s toys is pretty high on the agenda at this time of year, we thought it pretty timely to feature BuildurBricks.
