Startup of the Week - Accomable

by Startacus Admin
If you’re planning a holiday these days, chances are you do most of it online - flights, accommodation - the works.
There are of course lots of resources which help with this - from price comparison sites through to rating and review platforms. In essence, they all have the same aim - namely to make the process of booking a holiday as easy as possible.
Whilst these resources can all be invaluable, if you happen to have particular challenges or specific needs, the process of planning your holiday can still be a bit of a chore.
That in fact is something which our latest Startup of the Week is aiming to address.
Accomable is an innovative new platform which enables users to find accessible holiday accommodation all around the world. Whether you have issues with mobility or have a disability, their aim is for you to be able to source accommodation which would best suit your needs.
No more hours spent browsing countless websites trying to determine if a particular apartment would be suitable or accessible to you - with Accomable you can see at a glance. Simply search for your accommodation by the geographic area or region you’re interested in going to. If you find something of interest, simply complete the online enquiry form. You’ll then be connected directly with the property owner and can take it from there!
The platform facilitates the contact between property owners and those seeking holiday accommodation - direct bookings can’t be made at present via the site but this may perhaps be incorporated in the future.
If you have a holiday property, you can of course get it listed on the site and thereby greatly increase its potential to be rented out.
Our thoughts?
It’s a great idea - an invaluable service and a startup to most definitely watch!
