Startup Fest Europe looks for 50 Startups and Scaleups to Pitch!

by Startacus Admin
With the aim to create a true “West Coast of Europe” Startups scene, Startup Fest Europe is looking for 50 top Startups and Scaleups to Pitch to over 100
partners of toptier Euro & US-based VCs at an event next Month in Amsterdam.
From 24-28 May 16, the Netherlands will host a marathon of matchmaking between startups, investors, developers and corporates with fourteen regional innovation hubs hosting startup / business events on specialized topics.
Startup Fest Europe is a nationwide festival of events that help startups grow faster by bringing together founders, investors, business leaders and developers around specific themes (or verticals). These week-long matchmaking activities are a joint effort of startup hubs in the cities of Amsterdam, Arnhem, Delft, Eindhoven, Enschede, Geleen, Leeuwarden, Nijmegen, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, Wageningen, and Zwolle.
Developed as a concept by Startup Delta and 75 leaders and heads of the Dutch startup ecosystem, it was agreed that the Startup Ecosystem would strongly benefit from hosting a European startup event - hence the birth of Startup Fest Europe.
So what’s the Pitch part?
On Opening Day (May 24) with over 100 partners of toptier Euro & US-based VCs (Insight Partners, Golden Gate Ventures, Northzone, Accel, Open Ocean Capital to name a few) to be present, 50 startups & scale ups will be given the chance to pitch for funding and in a ‘startup garden’.
The selected startups will then also be able to listen-in on presentations from Tim Cook (Apple), Nathan Blecharczyk (Airbnb), Travis Kalanick (Uber), Gillian Tans (Booking.com), Pieter van der Does (Adyen), Andrus Ansip (Vice-president of the European Commission), Reshma Sohoni (Seedcamp) and Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte.
