Startup events in the UK and Ireland in 2014
Last year (2013 being now a near distant memory) we shared with you all a select list of some of the Top Startup and Enterprise events happening in the UK and Ireland.
Therefore we thought it only right to return with a new list and surprise surprise this year being 2014, the list focuses on the top events happening over the next 12 months.
So how did we come up with this particular list? Well as you know here at Startacus we are pretty keen on anything startup related and over time we come across a vast array of events and general happenings- this list is a selection of those taking place this year which we reckon are worth keeping an eye on.
If you think then that we’ve missed out on a few crackers (sorry we’ve still got Christmas on the brain) then please do email iam@startacus.net to tell all! At this point we should probably mention that this is by no means a definitive list - so please do shout rather loudly if you think others should be added...

There’s a bit of a gap for January - what startup events do you reckon we should add?

LeWeb London 2014 London
With a rather cool sounding tagline of “where revolutionaries gather to plot the future” and with the clue of the word “le” in the title, this is the little (but still rather big) sister of the LeWeb French main player, which is a pretty massive Tech festival. Tech Nation calls for tangible support to secure capital, talent, growth and exits needed to accelerate the growth of UK tech in decade ahead. Glasgow-based This is Milk seeks investment for Neve Learning, its cloud-based Ed-Tech platform that has inclusivity and accessibility at its core. With the UK facing a clear digital skills gap, Amy Caton, Digital Talent and Impact Senior Manager at BT Group shares some insights on what businesses should do to close that divide. The lowdown on Berlin-based Beazy and its innovative solution that helps teams to plan, produce and deliver creative content and helps businesses to connect with talented content creators. The lowdown on Fluffy, the app offering dog training, 24/7 vet messaging and insurance to give pet owners peace of mind and support them with their pet care responsibilities. Huckletree's new Web3 HQ aims to put London’s West End at the forefront of Britain’s tech superpower ambitions. Leading sports marketing platform, OpenSponsorship announces move into music sector, the first new vertical industry for the trans-Atlantic martech business. Kingussie High School scoops first place for Junior and Senior categories at this year’s Growing Future Assets Competition. The lowdown on Manchester-based Arctic Shores and its innovative recruitment solution to help candidate potential count as much as skills and experience. With the demand for tattoo removal now greater than ever, specialist NAAMA Studios makes a bid for a further £11m in funding.
