Startup Couples Wanted for BBC 2 Documentary

by Startacus Admin
Here at Startacus we do love a good documentary...we also love a good startup and an interesting entrepreneurial tale, thats why we couldn't resist getting involved with this one.
As we figure it, relationships are a lot like startups…(don’t worry we are going somewhere with this)…they take serious hard work, time, dedication, passion and determination… but what happens when you smash together a relationship and a startup? In a move sure to test the notion of ‘docudrama’ to its very limit BBC 2 has embarked on a mission to find out.
An open casting call has been issued by production company October Films, who are scouring the length, breadth, width and depth of the country to find folks who have taken the courageous plunge and entered into a business relationship with their husband / wife / spouse / partner / better half / lesser half / ball-and-chain.
The documentary (which is purely observational) will follow a number of business couples in different parts of the country, as they experience the highs, the lows, the joys and (potentially) the tears of starting their own business.
With filming to take place over the coming months now is the time to get involved.
The rules
Happily there are no draconian style provisos or hard-and-fast regulations about who can and cannot be considered to take part in the documentary, but as always there are some basic guidelines you would be wise to consider before putting your name into the hat:
You must be a couple who are starting a business together (rather obvious, but important to state)
You must be passionate about your business
You must be confident
There must be some exciting/interesting events taking place in your life/business over the coming months
You must be willing to have your life filmed and to let the film crew get to know you and your business
If it sounds like something you and your partner would be interested in taking part in, drop an email to Amber Phillips (amber.phillips@octoberfilms.co.uk) or give her a call for a chat 02072 846 868
