Every year, we cover key startup events taking place in the UK and Ireland throughout the year. This year, being a year, we’re doing it again! To keep you on your toes, we’re going to do it in chronological order:

So this is what we have pencilled in so far...

January

StartUp 2018 - 13th

For the fourth year running, Enterprise Nation is bringing over 100 speakers to this one-day event for those thinking of starting or growing a business in 2018. This year, the event takes place at Queen Mary University, London.

London Blockchain Week 2018 - 19th -26th

Multiple Events focused on Blockchain and DLT, with a 3 day event aiming to highlight the hottest blockchain companies worldwide and a conference exploring Blockchain/DLT across all sectors.

February

NACUE Student Enterprise Conference 2018 - 17th-18th

Talks, workshops, and networking opportunities abound at the biggest student enterprise conference in Europe, taking place in Birmingham’s Aston University. Connecting college and university students across the UK, the SEC is about powering the next generation of entrepreneurs.

March

QCon London - 5th-9th

QCon London is back for another year, as annual things tend to do, for a conference from well over 100 speakers between the 5th and the 7th, and advertise with Startacusworkshops on the 8th and 9th. This software development conference aims to inspire and empower future software development.

Finnovate Europe - 6th-9th

Finnovate brings you cutting-edge banking, financial, payments technology in over 70 short-form demo format, followed by the opportunity to talk to a further 100+ FinTech experts. Finnovate will take place in ExCel, London.

Innovate Finance Global Summit - 19th - 20th

The IFGS 2018 will welcome FinTech innovators, institutions, policy makers, investors, regulators, and more to London. Speakers and events will cover a broad range of subjects including AI, diversity, InsurTech, financial wellness, and Brexit.

Advertising Week Europe - 19th-22nd

During this week in March, Advertising Week Europe will bring together communities such as tech, media, marketing, and more to discuss trends and issues. Advertising Week Europe takes place in London.

Girls in Tech- 28th

Girls in Tech is a series of TED-style, ‘raw, gritty, authentic’ presentations from leading STEM professionals. Since 2012, Girls in Tech has brought together hundreds of women in tech with one aim: to advise and pass on lessons learned to the next generation of women in tech. Taking place in The Brewery, London.

April

Dublin Tech Summit - 18th-19th

The answer to Web Summit’s move to Lisbon, Dublin Tech Summit’s second year includes speakers from CNN, Microsoft, Twitter, NASA, and many more. The summit covers IoT, cyber security, big data, AI, innovation, and many other subjects and themes.

Blockchain Expo Global 2018 - 18th-19th

Blockchain Expo is expected to attract over 6000 blockchain delegates for these two days in London’s Olympia. Keynotes, interactive panels, and case studies will explore the industries set to be most disrupted by blockchain technology.

IoT Tech Expo Global 2018 - 18th-19th

The IoT Tech Expo will introduce and explore the latest innovations with the Internet of Things in areas such as transport, health, manufacturing, government, energy, logistics, and automotive. Speakers, panels, and case study discussions will take place in London’s Olympia.

May

Adobe Summit - 3rd-4th

Adobe’s learning and networking event for digital marketing professionals ExCel, London. Hear from leading experts and learn new strategies to transform your business and customer experiences.

Newcastle Startup Week - 14th-18th

Newcastle Startup Week is a 5-day, multi-venue festival across Newcastle that helps people to start or grow business in the North East. Speakers willadvertise with Startacus be announced soon, and will cover inspiration, funding, growing and scaling, and more.

The Business Show - 16th-17th

This huge free-to-attend, two-day event features 25,000 businesses, 250 seminars, 350 exhibitors, and 12 masterclasses. Speakers include Levi Roots, former Dragons, the founder of PureGym, and Crystal Palace F.C. chairman Steve Parish, among many others. Takes place in ExCel, London.

TechConnect Live - 30th

200 speakers and over 3000 delegates from the Irish and international tech sector will come to the RDS, Dublin for a gather to facilitate investment, innovation, collaboration, and the fostering of new commercial relationships.

June

MoneyConf - 11th - 13th

Dublin. Perhaps one of the world's largest cryptocurrency focused events. Organised by the team behind the world’s largest tech conference, Web Summit, over two days, approx 5,000 attendees from over 100 countries will network and learn from the industry’s leading lights. Expect big keynotes, hands-on workshops and lots of evening networking and social. 

London Tech Week - 11th-17th

This tech festival brings together tech enthusiasts and innovators. More than 55,000 people flock to London from over 90 countries to attend 300+ events to be inspired, network, and be a part of shaping the future.

Digital DNA - 19th-20th

Digital DNA is one of Ireland’s leading business and technology event, held in Belfast. With a range of speakers, exhibitors, and workshops, Digital DNA aims to inspire businesses from every industry to adopt technology into their very DNA!

August

Turing Fest Scotland - 1st & 2nd

Over two days in August, the Turing Fest brings approx 40 of the smartest minds in the global tech sector to Edinburgh to share key tactical and strategic insight in a relaxed setting. Over 1,250 founders, CEOs, engineers, product managers, designers and marketers came together to learn, share and connect.


September

ad:tech London 2018 - 26-27th

One of the largest and best adtech, martech, ecommerce focused events in the UK, bringing together brands, agencies media owners & tech providers startup events uk ireland 2018 and startups all together and under one roof. 


October

Bread & Jam- 4th-5th

The UK’s first food founders’ festival, Bread & Jam is a 2-day conference and bootcamp. Bread & Jam brings together food and drink founders, innovators, investors, and industry leaders for keynote speakers, panel discussions, workshops, and more. The venue is the Institute of Directors, Pall Mall, London.

UPRISE Festival Europe - 18th

This Dublin based ‘People First’ Tech festival blends a conference with a Festival to bring Founders, CEOs and speakers together in panels and workshops + a startup area to exhibit, pitch and network. 


Startup Summit Scotland - 31st 

Across multiple stages, in one venue, on one day, Startup Summit aims to give you direct access to the founders, executives and investors behind some of the world's most successful companies.

November

Social Media Week- 14th-16th

This event brings together leading brands individuals from the intersection of entertainment, media, marketing, and technology. The QEII conference centre in London is host to Social Media Week’s speakers and events.

Made Entrepreneur Festival - Date TBC. 

A premiere business event for entrepreneurship, the event date for 2018 is not confirmed yet, but most often or not falls in November. Taking place in Sheffield this event aims to educate, inspire and motivate early stage entrepreneurs and established business owners.
