Startacus Member Appointed to Women in Enterprise task FSB force

by Startacus Admin
We are delighted to report the fantastic news that much esteemed member of the Startacus community Kelly Gilmour-Grassam has been appointed to a national taskforce created to promote and encourage the role of women in UK enterprise.
The new taskforce has been assembled by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and will seek to champion the particular needs of UK women-run small businesses.
Kelly is a driven young entrepreneur of significant accomplishment, having launched her own content agency ‘Making You Content’ fresh out of university and being recognised as an inspiring role model for others with entrepreneurial aspirations. She has already received wide commendation for her work including a place on the shortlist for the Forward Ladies Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the title of Britain’s Young Freelancer of the Year, at the IPSE Awards 2015.
Kelly was also named as one of 6 finalists in the Startacus Self Starter of the Year Awards 2015.
At just 23 years old, Kelly who is based in Manchester’s uber trendy Northern Quarter, hopes that her appointment to the Federation of Small Business’ Task Force will give her the opportunity to make a substantial positive impact on the perception of entrepreneurship and ‘business’ as a viable career option for those who might otherwise assume it to be out of their reach.
Kelly told us,
"It's an honour to join the Taskforce. As a young woman in business, I strongly believe that entrepreneurship should be made accessible for self starters. I hope that together, we can play a positive role in creating a more inclusive future for the business community."
Congratulations on the appointment Kelly and the very best of luck on your mission to support women in enterprise!
