Spotless Water - the startup that's innovating the UK's pure water industry

The lowdown on Spotless Water, the startup that's disrupting ultra pure water distribution

Again, the sediment and minerals in tap water make it a poor choice for cleaning without residue and particles left behind. The method that window cleaners go through to purify water, however, adds expense to their process, requiring them to pass water through resins and filters and using processes such as deionisation and reverse osmosis. As you can imagine, this means things need to be replaced, things can break, and things need to be paid for.
Poole-based startup Spotless Water is looking to disrupt the industry by providing the first pay-as-you-go ultra pure water filling stations.
These work much like pay-at-the-pump filling stations for your car: use the gate code provided on your free, contract-free account to access the area, scan your key fob, pay, fill. This means that the pumps can be accessed 24 hours per day, and the key fob allows you to fill without paying on the spot with a card, but that option is open to you as well. So you can bid farewell to all of your resins and filters and the replacement costs.
In May, Spotless Water announced that they had secured £550,000 in investment from Blackfinch, which will be used to reach their goal of increasing their current 40 stations around the UK to 450 within 3 years, and to expand into the US.
