Sport tech, wellness and health tech startups - the world needs you!

by Startacus Admin
Coronavirus is, of course, having a big impact on how many of us keep active. 5-a-side football, OUT. Gyms, OUT. Yoga group sessions, OUT.
But, inspired by how people are giving their time and providing support for people and organisations during the current climate, Sport Tech Hub are adamant that tech products – sport, fitness, wellness and health – can have a huge and immediate role to play in keeping people active and socially connected.
Backed by London Sport, the Mayor of London and Sport England, Sport Tech Hub is the UK’s first technology incubator programme dedicated to supporting startups driving innovation in physical activity and sport, and they believe in the power of tech and sport to change lives.
So, with online solutions in mind, they are looking for tech startups/scaleups to provide free health/wellness/sport/fitness solutions for the population. This could be anything from home workouts, social isolation tools, well-being apps, through to activity trackers.
This could be everything from a free one-month trial to access to online exercise classes, through to a free trial to measure your current mental health. Anything that can keep an individual or an organisation with employees or a community to serve, physically and mentally active.
“Sport has the power to change the world” said Nelson Mandela, and, with this call to action in mind, Sport Tech Hub are asking sport and healthtech startups to also play their part in how we address the current coronavirus crisis.
Relevant startups are asked to complete this form and relevant products/services will be filtered through to a public facing site with the purpose of supporting individuals and/or businesses that can support their community, users or employees to remain active.
Go team!
