Some Benefits of Video Advertising

by Startacus Admin
The way that businesses exist has changed dramatically over the last two decades. An online presence is a must these days – and moreover you need to promote yourself with a snappy video.
For many businesses a standard text advert these days just won’t do it. People would much rather watch what you can do for them than read about it. So is your business at the cutting age of advertising or are you still stuck in the dark ages?
Do I really need a video?
An online video can pay for itself many times over. If you were to take out an ad on TV, on radio or a magazine, you have to buy a slot – also the ad will be there for a certain time and then it’s gone. Once you upload a video, it can last forever, and will be able to continually promote your business. This makes online advertising a lot more cost effective.
What do the stats say?
So is it worth my time making a video I hear you say? Well according to stats provided by Viddyad video ad views totalled 24.6 billion in February of this year! Consumers are 27 times more likely to click through a video ad than a banner. When searching on Google, the biggest search engine, 62% of the returned results have video. Also it may help that the second biggest search engine, YouTube, is owned by Google. It is also said that people are a staggering 85% more likely to purchase a product after watching a video.
Still not convinced? Well here’s another few reasons..
-
Video brings your brand to life - When consumers search for something online, they would rather see the product than read about it
-
Video is part of the online experience – People can read in a paper about your product so use the internet for what it should be used for
-
Social Media – when people find something they like, they will share it with their friends, and their friends tell two friends and their friends tell two friends....well you see where I’m going with this one
-
First contact – your video allows customers to see firsthand the benefit of your business/product.
