Sodexo seeking innovative startups for its first ever UK Accelerator Programme

Sodexo and L Marks open call for applications from new and innovative startups to join their inaugural UK Accelerator programme.
Fab news from Sodexo, the global food services and facilities management company with the introduction of the first Sodexo Accelerator programme to the UK and Ireland, following successful programmes in France, China, India, Brazil and Sweden.
The new Sodexo accelerator programme which is being run in partnership with corporate innovation specialists, L Marks, will provide startups with the opportunity to test their innovations in live consumer environments within the company’s client sites, the home of some of the world’s leading organisations. Participating startups will receive mentoring from senior Sodexo executives, gain insights from subject matter experts in addition to potentially obtaining future investment.
Sodexo operates across a wide range of business sectors, helping to create workplaces that engage and motivate employees, supporting national infrastructure and serving up amazing live experiences. There are therefore lots of opportunities for startups to collaborate.
For this programme, they are seeking startups that are innovating in one of the following key focus areas:
Employee experience
-
This is aimed at startups with innovative solutions that will benefit and improve the quality of life of the end user of the services which Sodexo provides namely the consumer, the worker, the student and the patient.
Smart buildings
-
Within this category, startups with innovations and solutions that can help to optimize safety and boost efficiency within Sodexo’s clients’ workplaces are of interest.
Sustainability
-
Innovations that can help the company with its commitment to responsible and sustainable practices are of interest here - from helping it to reach a carbon impact of net zero, supporting local supply chains through to the prevention of food waste.
Wildcard
-
Sodexo UK and Ireland works across a wide range of market sectors and areas - from corporate food service and event hospitality to facilities management. For this category, the company is keen therefore to hear from startups with innovations that can help it with its ambitions in any of these areas.
Applications are now open and must be submitted by 2 March 2022. Following assessment by the Sodexo and L Marks teams, shortlisted startups will be invited to participate in a Pitch day on 4 April 2022, with the programme itself kicking off on 9 May 2022 and culminating with a Demo day on 13 July 2022.
