SnapMyAd - the interview

by Startacus Admin
Almost everyone has had an idea for an app at some point, is there any advice that you would give to someone who has a great idea but is unsure what to do next?
The best advice I got was to just do it. Jump in and do it. I am glad I didn’t spend years “trying to figure everything out” and just did it. Another piece of advice I got that I still live by every day is “Don’t let the valleys get too low and the peaks too high, enjoy the journey”. Oh, and one more thing: Keep it simple, it’s much harder to take things away than to add things based on feedback.
With SnapMyAd you are having to engage with some enormous companies, was it difficult to get yourself noticed or to make people take you seriously?
Sort of. Some companies get what we are doing right away and some still don’t look at these photos as “ads”. We have had some great press and we are growing every day by both users and brands. Oh and having a blast!
Without giving too much away, how do you see the business developing over the next few years?
We believe this will be a normal part of things you buy and enjoy and see ourselves growing more as more people and brands adapt.
Cheers Josh, some great advice there, and best of luck with SnapMyAd we are looking forward to hearing much more about you guys in the future!
