Cork-based Smart Routes wants to save you time and money by making delivery route planning easier
and more dynamic, with their optimised, route planning delivery software.
For delivery companies, efficiency is critical. Every minute counts. This may be why we nearly get run off the road by vans every day. Good route planning is therefore essential to keeping deliveries on time and making each driver’s day as efficient and productive as possible, which in turn keeps customer satisfaction up by delivering when you say you will.
Cork-based Smart Routes wants to save you time and money by making delivery route planning easier and more dynamic, with their delivery route planning software. The user-friendly platform optimises routes depending on whether you want to minimise time or distance or find a balance between the two, using as many stops as required.
Add unexpected stops on the fly and the system will compensate. It will also keep customers up to date on when to expect their deliveries, as well as showing them the driver’s exact location in real time. The platform also allows dispatchers to send out routes to their drivers on the fly and monitor them in real time along with the customers, so that they know where their employee are at all times. In a non-creepy way.
Working with companies who have 10 deliveries a day all the way up to 1000 deliveries a day, Smart Routes stands to save delivery businesses money on fuel and wages - up to 33% on total costs, they say - and it can easily integrate with most existing infrastructure in as little as 3 minutes with the help of Smart Routes experts.
Co-founded by Calvin O'Callaghan and David Walsh, Smart Routes was the winner of the Innovation Nation Ascend pitch competition for early stage Irish startups in Newry, NI this September, netting themselves £50,000 in both cash and business support. It was great to see them pitch - we think they'll travel far!
