Sky's the limit for Go Fly Your Kite after All-Ireland Business All-Star accreditation

Prestigious Quality mark achieved by County Down business, Go Fly Your Kit...
2020 has got off to a great start for Go Fly Your Kite, a County Down based family business which has achieved a quality mark signifying it meets the highest standards of service and trust.
The business which has just celebrated its 5th birthday, (we're sure the time has flown by!) originated when the founder’s four year old thought it would be a great idea to draw on the kite he had just been bought in a shop. Within a matter of months the family had devised a children's activity where individuals could design their own bespoke kite.
Go Fly Your Kite now delivers STEAM kite workshops to over 25,000 participants aged between 4-94 years of age every year. Their workshops promote science, artistic skills, symmetry, physics, wellbeing, construction and exercise in a fun, educational environment.
The quality mark which the business has now been awarded is the coveted All-Ireland Business All-Star accreditation. This is an independently verified standard mark for indigenous businesses, based on rigorous selection criteria.
The accreditation which is now held by over 350 firms, is needed by the thousands of small and medium businesses which operate to their own standards, but have nothing to measure them by.It is overseen by the prestigious All-Ireland Business Foundation, whose adjudication panel is chaired by Dr Briga Hynes of the Kemmy Business School at the University of Limerick and Kieran Ring, CEO of the Global Institute of Logistics.
Speaking of the accreditation, Dr Hynes said: “We evaluate a company’s background, trustworthiness and performance, and we speak to customers, employees and vendors. We also anonymously approach the company as a customer and report back on the experience. The business goes through at least two interviews and is scored on every part of the process against set metrics.”
The All-Ireland Business Foundation is responsible for overseeing the All-Ireland Business Summit and All-Star awards, ongoing All-Star accreditation, Thought Leader awards and promoting peer dialogue among members.
The process to select the next group of Business All-Star accredited companies has already begun and if you are interested in finding out more, simply check out the Business All Stars site.
We look forward to seeing where Go Fly Your Kite goes from here!
