Skrap - the startup that's disrupting construction hire

by Startacus Admin

Skrap is an innovative PropTech startup that offers all kinds of construction hire services on-demand to construction companies

But what about construction workers who find themselves in need of other types of construction-related hire?
Wembley-based proptech startup Skrap started in 2017 as a skip hire app. In only 4 steps, you could choose your skip size and have it delivered. Since then, they have grown quickly to offer all kinds of construction hire services on-demand to construction companies.
From skips or those little cage lorries you often see packed with recycling material (the technical name for them), to portaloos and plant hire, to a lorry-load of aggregate or ready-mixed concrete, if a construction site finds itself in need, Skrap should have what’s required. And all it takes is 5 simple steps.
All prices are displayed up front and are a flat rate no matter where in London you need your delivery, and you are able to keep track of total spend in each category that the app has to offer. There is also a live chat function built into the app so if you need additional assistance, you can always talk to someone in real time.
In August, Skrap announced that they had closed a seed funding round and raised £1.2m from Vanneck Investments, and many entrepreneurs and angel investors. The team of 25 will be using the funding to scale and expand across the rest of the UK and beyond.
