Sideways 6 - helping companies innovate with their employee engagement

by Startacus Admin
The startup that's on a mission to help businesses innovate by engaging with their own employees...
It’s almost like the Magnificent Seven, but not. Sideways 6 is a startup that looks to empower companies to make use of their employees’ invaluable insights into their own inner workings and product or service.
The best businesses are those that take notice of what their people are saying, and the best employees are those who feel they are valued and listened to. Sideways 6 provides the simple means to be that kind of business, with that kind of employee.
Sideways 6 does not use its own app, but rather integrates with existing software already in use by their clients, meaning employees don’t have to waste time getting used to new software.
There are all sorts of options and functions, such as assigning owners to ideas so that employees don’t feel like their idea has been swallowed up and claimed by the suits upstairs; capturing ideas and collaboration in real time so that management can see topics and ideas that are popular, and interacting with them as they are building, rather than coming late to the party; using hashtags, keywords, groups, sentiment analysis, polls, individual and group messaging, idea status and stage tags, rewarding innovators and influencers, and many more features.
You could argue that Sideways 6 is crowdsourcing at its best, because that crowd is directly involved in the business and product.
The startup recently closed a £500k seed funding round which it hopes to use to further its reach and build into a bigger, more robust company. With growth comes a greater capacity for engagement and serving of clients’ needs.
When you consider what Sideways 6 have already achieved to date, this additional funding is certainly going to make it a startup to keep a close eye on. Exciting times ahead, we reckon!
