Showtime Analytics - cinema data made easy

by Startacus Admin
Showtime Analytics - The Irish startup that's providing data analytics products and services to the global cinema industry.

If only there were an Irish startup, say, that could streamline this process to create tangible results. Well it just so happens that there is...
Dublin-based startup Showtime Analytics has created a platform to centralise cinema data, making the same data analytics capabilities available to small, independant cinemas as to big chains.
The platform runs securely from the cloud, making it fast and scalable, and it can integrate easily with your existing systems. It takes your data-heavy reports and transforms them into visual, easily understood insights.
Access to Showtime can be given to any staff member and its role-based security means they will only see what is relevant to them, and it allows them to communicate in-platform with each other to keep teamwork quick and smooth. Compare your own cinema’s data against that of other cinemas: ticket prices and numbers, concessions, advance sales, movie comparison, etc. Easily see what you are doing well and what can be improved.
Showtime has recently raised €2m in funding from Chinese tech giant Alibaba. This is added to a previous investment from the e-commerce company of €1.2m.
This investment comes specifically from the company’s film industry arm, Alibaba Pictures, and displays significant belief in the Showtime platform. The funding will be used to expand the team and bring the platform to more cinemas in more countries.
We picture a bright future for this data analytics startup.
