Shellsuit Zombie

by Startacus Admin
When us folk here at Startacus come across something that we really like, we just can’t keep it to ourselves and this week we came across something we reckon you’ll really like too - in the form of Shellsuit Zombies.
Shellsuit Zombie is a project aiming to give young creatives a proper voice and as you’d imagine, is run by young creatives themselves. There are various strands to the project - a website, a printed magazine and also a whole host of regular creative events, talks and workshops. The project has been run by a team of students and graduates all with a passion and flair for design and all things creative and they’ve recently had an open call out for the ‘next generation of Zombies’ to take over the mantle and run the project in 2013. As well as an all consuming passion for the creative, all would be zombies had to also be either in the final year at uni or have graduated within the last two years. Fresh minds.. fresh thinking.. fresh meat!
The outgoing team though are still planning on playing a part, providing support and guidance and even helping to facilitate interviews and events etc.
Some of the past events have been truly innovative and unique and certainly have fulfilled their aims of embracing all things creative and bringing all creative types together. Our favourite had to be Uncontained - 30 days, 30 creatives, one box. Designers, illustrators, photographers all were given a spot a day over a 30 day period to promote their skills and talents and showcase what they could do.
More like this we say!
If you’d like to attend any of their events, check out the magazine or perhaps even get involved with Shellsuit Zombie yourself, check out their website for details.
Good luck to the new Zombies, whoever they may be....we shall be watching them closely!
