Self Starters of the Week to pitch for 2015 title and prizes!
Back at the end of May our annual Self Starter of the Week awards returned for the third year!
Since then, we have been awarding Startacus members with the acclaimed Self Starter of the Week title and as you can imagine, our Hall of Fame for 2015 is pretty much chock-a-block.
Now the time has come for us to consider who’ll be our Self Starter of the Year for 2015. To win that accolade, each Self Starter of the Week must pitch to us in 200 words or less, why they should be considered for the 2015 title.
Why should they pitch?

Well, apart from the kudos of having the Self Starter of the Year 2015 title, there are a whole heap of prizes up for grabs - courtesy of lead sponsor Marketest and top brands FreeAgent, Monkfeet, NetLawman, 123-reg, StartupZap & indeed Startacus itself!
Click here for the details on the 2015 prizes and for an idea of what makes someone a Self Starter.
So the pitches...
Today we’re calling on all the weekly winners to pitch to us why they should be the overall 2015 Self Starter.
We’d like pitches that outline why they should be the Self Starter of the Year, what makes them a self-starter, what they have achieved and learned, and perhaps even how they would make best use of the prizes on offer.
The top six pitches, as selected by Startacus and lead sponsor Marketest will then be revealed to all you Startacus readers and an open online vote will then take place to see who wins the coveted 2015 title, as well as the runners-up prizes for second and third place.
So here are those all important details and dates...
-
All Self Starter of the Week awardees from 2015 will have until Monday 11th January 2016 to get their pitches over to us. 200 words max!
-
Pitches must be emailed to iam@startacus.net - your pitch can be simply written in the email itself, or attached as a Word doc, Google Doc or PDF - it’s up to you!
-
The Startacus team and key prize sponsor Marketest will review and consider all pitches and select and announce a Top 6 on Wednesday 13th January 2016
-
The Top 6 and their pitches will then be on show to the general public and whoever gets the most votes by midnight Tuesday 19th January wins. Simples.
-
On Thursday 21st January, the 2015 Self Starter of the Year will then be announced. What a great start to the New Year for one lucky self starter!
We look forward to receiving some great pitches and reporting back with the 6 selected Self Starter of the Year finalists and how you can then vote for your favourite.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to pass on our thanks to key sponsor Marketest and top brands FreeAgent, Monkfeet, NetLawman, 123-reg, and StartupZap for supporting this year's self starter awards...a merry business to you all.
And to all you other Self Starters out there. Fancy yourself as a future self starter / self starter of the Week / Year? Then make sure you register on Startacus - it's fab and free and here's a few other reasons why you should join.
