Self Employed Story, Bob PembrokeWithout giving too much away, how would you like the business to develop in 2014?

This year I am hoping they build the new spa, which will be great as the last one was so popular. The man who looks after my website has joined me up to Facebook and Twitter in the hope of drumming up more interest in the business and maybe some clients.

I also like to write and in May, Essex Life magazine are publishing an article I wrote about a local place of interest. This has spurred me on to write other articles and also to work on my short stories, which I have in my head.

In 2012 besides starting up the business and getting married, I also walked up Ben Nevis with my younger son, it was certainly a challenge not having sight and I now feel ready to take on another challenge, so I am hoping 2014 will bring me that challenge.

Is there anything else you would like to say about your experiences that might be useful to someone in a similar position?

All I can really say is, starting a business isn’t an easy option, no matter what you are told. Running your own business means working all the hours you can and this doesn’t mean doing the actual treatments, but getting out there spreading the word, looking for opportunities where you might be able to work or find clients. I often find myself sitting at the computer Googling for hours on end. There are times when you will wonder why you started on this route, it can be exhausting and time consuming. I am sure that like me once you begin to get clients and you are paid for your work you will get that buzz. Once you get that buzz you will find yourself wanting to move your business forward and at the end of a busy day there is nothing better than looking back on what your hard work has brought you.

I am still very much on my journey and I know there is still a long way to go, but if you can stay focused and keep your vision then there will be success.

We offer an enormous thanks to Bob for sharing his truly inspirational story and unique perspective on starting a business with us and wish him every success with RSP therapies in the future.
