Sedna wants to be the team communication software that rules them all

by Startacus Admin
Sedna is team communication software that unifies all messages, data, and documentation to help you focus on the work that matters
Communication when working in a team is vital, whether you are all sitting in one office, spread around the world, or anywhere in between. For a long time, the only way to keep in touch reliably without having to wait for the daily conference call was via email. Then along came things like Skype and Slack and made communication in real time, whenever it takes our fancy, a possibility.
No more waiting around, wondering if the recipient has checked their email yet; wondering if we should send them an email to tell them to check their email. Of course, email never went away, and we still use that along with our live chat software, in-house tools we need, documentation, and who knows what else. It can become a little overwhelming to have windows upon windows full of tabs open all day.
London-based startup Sedna wants to combine live chat with email and other workplace data and documentation to make itself the one window you turn to for all of your communications, brought together neatly where it won’t all become overwhelming and frustrating.
They say that this cuts down on email volume by 95%, because everyone can see who has done what and when, along with a comments thread for each email, allowing team members to discuss the contents right there and then, further reducing the need to jump about even within the platform to find the right place to talk about something or, of course, to send a follow up email. In this way, Sedna promotes collaboration and efficiency, as well as accountability.
Setup of the platform is simple, because Sedna tailors a migration plan to your team, learning your process and the tools you already use, ensuring that you get moved over and set up with Sedna quickly and easily.
In December, Senda announced that it had raised $10 million in a Series A round, which was led by Chalfen Ventures and Stride VC. This funding will be used to expand and to make the platform even better, with more tools and options - something they are holding a public talk about on January 28.
In a climate of work from home even for those who normally do not, a platform like Sedna to make remote collaboration simple and effective has never been more needed.
