ScaffFloat - innovative floating access solutions

The lowdown on the innovative and versatile floating platforms from ScaffFloat...

This is not an issue that many of us have to think about, granted, but for those who do, there should be a solution that keeps them stable and safe while they carry out their work.
Luckily, Cornwall-based startup ScaffFloat has come up with a solution. As the name suggests, their product is a very tough, very stable pontoon specifically designed to integrate with standard scaffolding parts in order to make versatile floating platforms from which to carry out work in the water.
These platforms are modular, so you can have something for one or two people to stand on, or a big platform carrying vehicles, crates, tools, and a full workforce, all safely and stably. ScaffFloat also offers bolt-ons such as moon pools, huts, engine pods, and more. And should you need access to higher parts of a bridge’s struts, for example, the whole thing can easily be lifted with an under-sling.
As well as easier, safer access for workers, the versatility and modular nature of the pontoons means that they can be employed for a wider range of uses, from surveying, to drilling, to geotechnical, to disaster relief.
Want to put on a waterside event but don’t have a marina? Make a temporary one easily capable of holding plenty of people, food stands, stages and acts, mooring boats, or even parking cars. They could even be used for ferrying cars across a river that otherwise would mean a long detour, making small bodies of water less of an obstacle to your plans.
This is one of those products that seems simple at first glance, but when you really start to think about the difference it can make to various applications, be it work, entertainment, or anything else, you can’t imagine a time without them!
