RElab announces innovative participants for its 2022 cohort

by Startacus Admin
RElab selects 9 startups in the areas of industrialised construction, sustainability, supply chain management and digitisation to participate in its latest cohort.
It’s a great start to the year for 9 innovative startups which have just been selected for the 2022 cohort of RElab, the international scale-up programme curated by Goldacre, the venture capital arm of the Noé Group. The programme is supported by leading industry partners, including Capreon, JCA Engineering, Kier, Knight Frank, Landsec, Lockton, Logifruit, Mace, RSBG, Sacyr and White & Case.
During the 14-week programme, the participating startups will benefit from curated introductions to decision makers within RElab’s network of industry partners to explore commercial opportunities and receive feedback around scaling and commercialisation of their products. They will also benefit from mentorship, expertise surgeries, investment introductions, as well as an initial £100,000 investment.
The companies that have been selected for the 2022 cohort reflect innovation from across the globe in a range of areas:
- UK-based Arx, a cyber-risk management platform that allows corporate users to identify, evaluate and risk-score their suppliers and other third-party contacts.
- Germany-based ASDRO which offers efficient surveying of the surface and subsurface by drone and uses proprietary hardware and software to collect and process complex subsurface data.
- Avvir from the US whose AI platform compares reality-capture data against the BIM model to algorithmically quantify construction progress and evaluate construction quality in a hardware agnostic solution that ingests and analyses both 360-degree photos and laser scans in near real-time.
UK-based Cambridge Carbon Capture (CCC) has developed a patented technology which removes CO2 from the atmosphere and converts it into a usable, versatile and widely marketable material that is strong, lightweight and extremely fire and water resistant.
- Hyperion Robotics from Finland has developed a robotic system that automatically produces reinforced concrete structures that eliminate waste by up to 90% and cost and execution time by up to 70%.
- Podaris from the UK isa real-time online collaboration platform for planners, engineers, policymakers and public stakeholders to rapidly draft from scratch or import from existing projects to quickly test ideas.
- Norway-based Rebartek automates rebar installation and produces bespoke reinforcement cages using an automated robotic manufacturing process to deliver precision rebar cages on short notice.
- UK-based Voyage Control has developed a cloud-based platform to manage, optimise, track, and communicate deliveries to streamline their customer’s end-to-end logistics and supply chain.
- Australian startup Ynomia offers an end-to-end solution to enable connected jobsites, which locate in real-time: people, materials, plant and equipment to convert worksites into an IOT digital twin that harnesses real-time data to build faster and safer.
Fionnuala Hogan, founder of RElab, said: “With our partners, our vision is to create an international scale-up programme, supporting exceptional innovators from across the globe and building deep collaboration across industry, investment and entrepreneurs."
David Bloom, founding partner of Goldacre, Noé Group, added: “Once again, we have been highly impressed by the diverse range of talent from this year’s cohort – all of whom have compelling solutions for the build environment. Alongside our committed industry partners, these companies are in a tremendous position to take their ideas and businesses to the next level. Watch this space.”
Exciting times ahead for these innovative startups!
