Reach offers online neck physio you control

by Startacus Admin
New app Reach, offers an online physio service helping neck pain sufferers fast track their recovery, taking the pain out of endless NHS waiting times, with a personalised physio program offered in just 15 minutes.
Musculoskeletal pain is urrently second most common reason for work absenteeism and costs EU economies £200bn each year.
Step forward, Reach, the first 100% online physiotherapy service that's challenging outdated health delivery methods by making high quality physio available anytime and anywhere with its newly launched app.
Co-Founded by entrepreneur James Read in 2017, Reach was conceived following a sports injury sustained by Read himself. Having undergone physio in the past for previous sports injuries, Read felt confident he could work out the problem and find exercises online. Frustrated with the lack of resources available to help speed up his recovery, which was ultimately preventing him from doing activities he loved, James set about starting Reach.
While minor illnesses such as coughs and colds were the most common reason for absenteeism, MSK problems are more likely to recur, and develop into long-term conditions if left untreated. With NHS physiotherapy services overstretched and the average waiting time for an appointment anywhere between four and 27 weeks, Reach offers a convenient, accessible and most importantly immediate physio solution for neck pain sufferers looking to reduce their pain and accelerate their recovery.
“The whole process is inconvenient and demotivating right now,” comments James Read, Co-founder and CEO, Reach. “Put off by lengthy NHS waiting times or the costly private alternative and frustrated by the infrequent in-person physio treatment, it’s simply taking many neck pain sufferers too long to get the help they need. With Reach we’re aiming to empower sufferers to own and accelerate their recovery so they can get back to their active best.”
Developed in conjunction with physiotherapists and doctors, the app has been approved as a medical device in the EU and allows users to self-manage their neck pain. Following a 10-minute online assessment, users are presented five minutes later with a program of easy to follow video exercises tailored specifically to the user’s recovery.
Reach’s fully qualified physiotherapists review workout feedback and monitor progress to help users stay on track and evolve and personalise exercises accordingly. Users can choose from a daily quick six minute or full 15 minute workout, or give themselves an extra push by doing both. Reach’s physiotherapists are available to contact via the app or by phone and email if required.
Currently available in the UK and Ireland, we're gonna put our neck-on-the-line and predict Reach is gonna do pretty well for itself.
