Qonversion - simplifying subscription management

by Startacus Admin
Qonversion is a London-based startup that's making it easier for others to build, analyze, monetize and grow a mobile subscription business.
Subscription models are useful for both business and customer, allowing the customer to set it up once and forget about it, receiving their product, service, content, etc. on an ongoing basis without having to think about payment, and the business has a higher retention rate for it.
It’s not groundbreaking or rocket science and subscriptions have been widely used for some time, but things are becoming increasingly complex with subscription management. Data and privacy laws, constantly updating app policies and app store policies, and the often awkward interaction of app developer and Apple or Google all mean that the backend of a subscription model faces increasing challenges.
London-based startup Qonversion is a subscription data platform designed to simplify subscription management, with its comprehensive toolset for developers to build, analyse, monetise, and grow a mobile subscription business. As they put it, it is ‘cross-platform subscription infrastructure, A/B testing, revenue analytics, engagement automation, and integrations all in one place’.
The startup was built specifically for businesses with mobile-based subscription services so that they can grow their apps faster and stay on top of changes and updates. The platform allows businesses to accurately track revenue and see what marketing channels are performing the best, giving them the insights they need to tweak their marketing.
In December 2021, Qonversion announced that they had raised £1.45 million in a round led by Flashpoint VC and Visionaries Club, with participation from Holger Seim (founder of Blinkist) and S16VC. This funding will go towards expanding the startup’s reach internationally and building its engineering and commercial teams. In just a year, the startup’s user base has increased nearly 10x, from 160 to almost 1,000 apps. With this funding and the increase in awareness, we expect plenty more subscription-based apps will adopt the platform.
