Q Review wants to be the platform to give consumers a voice

by Startacus Admin
Lucy Davidson, Co-Founder of Q Review, a new platform that's on a mission to help customers make smarter decisions with confidence, shares all on their concept, their journey to date and what they hope lies ahead..
So, Lucy, give us your pitch - what’s your startup all about?

We’ve found a gap in the market for a review service all under one roof so we came up with Q Review. The idea is we collect reviews, collate and analyse and companies will purchase the data to improve or maintain their customer service offering. WIN WIN! To see more you can visit www.q-review.com
What’s your own career background?
I am co-founder and along with my business partner William, we have worked on this in our spare time for 3 years whilst working other jobs.
I am a Psychology graduate fascinated with all things behaviour. I enjoy studying how and why people do what they do especially when it comes to purchasing. I have been writing and creating blogs for 3 years now and thoroughly enjoy researching and offering up advice to others. I’m also a chef… not sure how that qualifies me to be involved in a startup tech company but who doesn’t love food?
What’s been the toughest part of the journey so far?
Rome really wasn’t built in one day! Or a week! Etc. This has gone from an idea to a startup but it has taken a lot longer than anticipated. Even though we have a product as such, we are still in the very early stages of startup.
What stage are you at in developing / launching your startup / project?
We have a website and an app created by SugarRush Creative in Belfast. We are currently working alongside Ulster University to create an algorithm so that this is ready when reviews begin to pour in (fingers crossed).
What edge do you have over your competitors? Some have a similar idea but not quite what we are going for, they focus on branded products, we focus on the service sector itself and the customer service offering. ALSO we’re free! No strings, just free advice and a platform to express your opinion.
What kind of marketing have you been doing? Any interesting Campaigns?
You’re reading it right now! It’s all me, we come up with ideas depending on current affairs and anything we feel would help people out, we write about it, place it on social media and hopefully it reaches someone. We like to focus on our sectors – travel, insurance etc and give some top tips and ultimate guys for viewers to use when they like.
When you’re a complete and utter success will there be booze? Food at least?
BOTH! And lots of it. It’s not been easy even getting to this point but trust me if Q Review takes off and it’s a success I’ll even offer to provide the booze and food myself!
