PushFar wants to help you find a mentor or mentor others

Networking, mentoring and career progression made easy...
Guidance through your career is not something that is necessarily readily available to a lot of people. We’ve probably all heard stories about school career advisers giving the most absurd ‘advice’, and if our first exposure to some form of mentorship is going to be that bad, it only increases the need for good mentorship later on.
So wouldn’t it be good to have a platform that any student or graduate can go to and find mentorship from people who actually want to mentor them?
UK startup PushFar was co-founded by Ed Jonhson, who dropped out of school halfway through his A-Levels.
After working in digital advertising for a while, he began to feel the need for a mentor, but struggled to find one. If he was struggling, so must other people be struggling, so he set about creating a platform to help students and graduates to go further with opportunities for networking, mentoring, and career progression.
It is not just a site with some information and links - PushFar helps match mentors and mentees and once an individual is mentoring or being mentored, the algorithm sets about suggesting activities, events, opportunities, and people to network with – all designed to further assist career progression.
Mentors are on there because they want to mentor someone, so whether you want to find a mentor or to volunteer to mentor, PushFar is for you. And it is completely free.
PushFar received seed investment from angel investors in early 2019 and they are currently in talks with VCs and planning their next investment round.
People who are perfectly comfortable with where they are in their career and have no desire to move up the ladder are fairly few and far between, and a platform like PushFar can be of great value to them, so we think we will be hearing more about PushFar in the future.
