Powervault - smart energy storage for the home

Powervault is on a mission to provide simple and affordable smart energy storage for your home Powervaultwith their energy storage products.

Bills are becoming expensive and wages are floundering around like a fish in the desert, or some other sensical metaphor. We look to smart meters and smart homes in general to help us lower bills and save on our energy.

One more involved answer to this that many people have turned to is generating our own renewable energy using, most often, solar systems. On a particularly good day (or country), the energy produced from a decent solar system can be more than we actually need, so wouldn’t it be good if we were able to hold on to that extra energy for a rainy day?

PowervaultIt just so happens that the Powervault 3 intelligent battery system was designed for just this purpose. The Powervault 3 can store surplus solar energy or even cheaper, off-peak electricity from the grid. You can even make some money back by selling self-produced energy back to the grid.

London-based Powervault says their system can save you up to 35% on your energy bills and is one of the most affordable energy storage products on the market. The Powervault 3eco system is an even more inexpensive option that gives a second life to the batteries of electric vehicles.

Powervault was part of the 12-week EDF Blue Lab Innovation Challenge that started in February this year. They made it through as the winners, taking the £20k prize and partnering with EDF Energy to provide the Powervault 3 system with discounts to those who also sign on to EDF.

With energy prices increasing, our usage increasing, and the upcoming age of electric cars, a battery system like this is going to prove shockingly valuable. See what we did?
