Pop at House of Fraser

by Startacus Admin
If you’re a startup trying to make your mark in the retail sector, a recently launched project from The Great Retail Revival is probably well worth a look.
The Pop at House of Fraser project aims to find up and coming startups in the fashion or lifestyle retail sectors and provide them with an amazing platform to showcase their wares and in turn help them achieve their true business potential.
10 startup brands will be selected and will be given the opportunity to have a two week spot at House of Fraser’s Oxford Street store in May of this year. As well as that though, they’ll also receive support and mentoring from The Great Retail Revival Foundation and House of Fraser teams on everything from Buying and Merchandise through to Logistics. Pretty impressive don’t you think?
As for the overall winner? Well their prize is quite simply fab. They’ll win the opportunity to have their brand stocked by House of Fraser for an entire year!
Interested in applying? Here’s what you need to know:
To enter, you’ve got to have turned an idea into a retail product and be at the point where you’re aiming to get said product stocked by some of the big guys - the multiples, the high street department stores, etc. You ideally should have been in business for at least 2 years or be able to prove you’ve already had a successful trading history. Ultimately you should have a product which is properly marketable to House of Fraser and have a clearly defined target customer.
Entering consists of completing an online application form and submitting a basic video pitch before the deadline of 5pm on Thursday, 20 March 2014.
Speaking of videos - check out the short video below which explains all in a little more detail...
