Plan My Tour- Linking bands and concert organisers
by Startacus Admin
If you have ever had a part to play in the booking of bands to play gigs then you will know, that the process can be rather tricky to say the least. There's no end of difficulties that can arrise, from initial contact to final preparations, many bands and organisers find that implementing an effective means of communication poses a real challenge.
Plan my tour is a web platform which aims to connect bands and concert organizers.
What Inspired this idea ?
Outside of work, i am a musician and a concert organizer. For 15 years, i am president of an association which organize concerts in France and as musician i know how it's difficult for little known bands to find venues. With Plan my tour, i want to facilitate the musicians / organizers relation.
Is this idea unique or new ? A : No some websites exist to organize concerts at home or to bring together musicians and concert organizers.
So, what is the point ?
Plan my tour acts as a tour manager, it differs from the traditional relationship websites. Plan my tour provides administrative & technical documents (contracts, copyright forms, riders...).
What is the major benefit for costumers ?
The right band for the right venue and vice versa. Concert organizers can find musicians with many criteria : localization, music style, fee range... have the documents they need : contracts, technical riders... Musicians : can find venues with many criteria too, have a chance to play live in many places, find a new audience, have fun.
Others secondary features & add-ons ?
Yes, tools to plan tour : cost calculator, advices, support... Little extras : list of event, concert subscription, notes & comments...
What do you need to advance your idea ?
I need help because it's the first time i build my own busines. I'm trying to find a solution to test the business : is there a market, is this market big enough ?... I need some skills that i don't have : web development, legal advices on copyright and royalties...
Thanks for the chat 'Plan My Tour', we will be keeping a very close eye on you guys !
