Pitch to Rich 2015

by Startacus Admin
Reckon your startup or business could really go places if you got in front of the right people - people like Sir Richard Branson, for example?
Well, thanks to that very gentleman’s “Pitch to Rich” competition, that is a very distinct possibility.
In essence this is a comp which aims to identify and highlight some of the best new and innovative businesses out there - businesses which truly embody the Virgin brand’s ‘spirit of enterprise’.
With an overall prize pot of over £1 million, we’re sure you’ll agree that it’s a competition which is well worth a look.
This year there are 3 categories open for entries:
Grow - this is aimed at those who wish to change their existing business internally in order to achieve that much needed growth. The lucky winner in this category will receive a £250,000 marketing campaign and the two runners-up will receive marketing campaigns worth £100,000 each,
New Things - this category is aimed at businesses of any size or age which have new ideas and have the potential to ‘disrupt’ their market. The top prize here is £50,000 cash as well as mentoring support from Virgin’s investment team. Again in this category there are two runners-up prizes - this time in the form of £10,000 cash investment.
Startup - if you have a new business which has proven potential, this is the category for you. Basically you’ll need to have an idea which has the potential to be a real ‘game-changer’. Up for grabs here is a £150,000 marketing campaign for the winner and two runners-up prizes of £50,000 campaigns.
That’s not all though - there is also a People’s Choice Award which will see the semi-finalist who is deemed to be most popular with the public winning a £50,000 marketing campaign.
Pretty amazing set of prizes, wouldn’t you agree?
To enter in any of the categories, you must be aged 18 or over and be a UK resident with a UK based business. The deadline for entries is 5th May - not long to go then!
If you’re thinking of applying, we reckon you should get on it right away. Best of luck if you do!
