Pitch To New York's Top Investors

by Startacus Admin
Fancy pitching your UK business to some of New York’s top investors? Here’s your opportunity!
US investors have got a growing appetite for innovative and disruptive tech firms from this side of the pond.
There have already been a number of high profile investments this year this including Digital Shadows, Azimo, and WorldRemit.
Could your tech business be the next to benefit from this transatlantic cooperation?
Pitch NYC
Pitch NYC is a new entrepreneurial event series which aims to help fast-growing, highly investable UK startups raise the capital they need to undertake massive growth and ambitious expansions into the US market.
The first of these events will take place in Thomson Reuters’ HQ in NYC on 11 Nov.
The series is being supported by UK Trade & Investment as well as Fried Frank, Thomson Reuters, Select USA, and WeWork.
Unlike many such investment drives, Pitch NYC will also offer comprehensive support to participants including an intensive investor readiness bootcamp, which will help ensure you are prepared as possible to secure a high level of capital investment for your business.
Quite simply it is more readily available.
The UK does a very good job in relation to seed and early-stage investment, however when it comes to follow-up funding for high-potential businesses, we find ourselves somewhat lagging behind. In contrast US VCs, corporate and angel investors are much more keen to carry on high level later-stage startup funding, and as a result are finding excellent partners in cash hungry UK startups!
Who Should Apply?
Pitch NYC is open to emerging UK technology firms who have a demonstrable and compelling proposition for US investors. Some of the areas which are particularly highly sought after include Saas, Fintech, Big Data, Analytics, Enterprise, AdTech, Marketing Tech, and so forth.
Pitch NYC is designed specifically for UK tech firms who have already been in receipt of at least £1 million capital investment, or have and annual turnover equal to that figure, and are planning to rapidly expand their US business.
The Pitch NYC Programme
The programme will include pitches, a demo showcase and opportunities for 1:1
meetings followed by a networking reception.
