Pickr - industrial sector recruitment made easy

by Startacus Admin
The Norwich based startup Pickr that is innovating recruitment for the industrial sectors with their digital staffing solution...
As we highlighted in January, a survey conducted by global credit company Creditsafe and completed by 755 business leaders predicts that the biggest challenges to UK businesses in 2019 will be recruitment and the economy.
One in five of these businesses believes that recruitment will be their biggest challenge this year, and businesses aged under 2 years will be hit hardest. However, as growing businesses tend to do, more than half of these businesses still intend to increase their workforce this year.
One startup whose platform is helping to disrupt recruitment and which we featured recently is AnyGood?, which is aimed specifically at professional level jobs in tech, marketing, HR, sales, and the like. However what about skilled, hands-on industrial work and workers?
Luckily, Norwich-based Pickr is here to help the industrial sectors build and manage their workforce.
For those looking to hire skilled workers, the average time to hire is just 15 hours and Pickr eliminates the usual paperwork and work hours associated with recruitment agencies, thus the fees that comes with them. Intelligent matching identifies the candidates most suited to your needs, and then you can go over their ratings and reviews to pick who you want to hire. And with real-time GPS, you can manage your workforce through the Pickr platform.
For skilled workers looking for an employer, the service is free and allows them to apply only for the shifts they want, showing them exactly what is needed and where, and giving them more control.
The flexible working offered by Pickr allows a worker to do only as much as they want or need, and there is no upper limit on worked shifts either. With every job worked, your ratings and reviews build, showing your value to future employers, and customised job alerts and GPS notifications keep you apprised of new, relevant shifts.
Pickr has been shortlisted as finalists in two National Technology Awards categories for 2019: Startup Tech Company of the Year and Construction Technology of the Year. Pickr will join the likes of Vodafone, Sky, and Lloyd’s Bank for the awards ceremony in London in May.
