PepTalk - helping good teams become great teams

by Startacus Admin
From remote, hybrid to in-person teams - Dublin-based startup PepTalk is on a mission to create a work environment where everyone can thrive.
We have written a number of times over the last couple of years about how working from home has become vastly more popular since the lockdowns, even after it stopped being necessary. As some employees and companies drift away from total work from home status, hybrid working remains a strong option. It can benefit both employee and employer, who spends less money on costs related to having an office full of people all day. But there can be issues with communication when people are spread around the city, country, or world, and the psychological aspect of spending your work time at home, alone can still affect hybrid employees.
Dublin-based startup PepTalk is looking to address these issues with its ‘team experience platform for the modern workplace’. PepTalk gives actionable insights by using behavioural change science to measure the team members’ experience, readiness to work, psychological trust and safety, and support from leadership.
You can see all kinds of analytics on the platform’s dashboard, allowing you to identify potential issues with a team’s performance, engagement, and retention. You can also keep an eye on responses coming directly from employees through monthly check-in sentiment checking, so that you can be ready to take action in areas where employees may feel disconnected, unfocused, or anything else that could be improved by leadership.
In December, PepTalk announced that they had raised €3 million in funding in a round led by VentureWave Capital. This funding will be used to help their expansion into the US, and it comes a year on from a €1.2 million round that helped them expand into the UK and EMEA markets. The startup has been going from strength to strength since its founding in 2017, including being selected for the Google Adopt a Startup programme in 2019, and being ranked in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Ranking 2022.
Making sure that remote workers don’t get left behind just because they aren’t in the office is more important than ever, with so many more working a hybrid schedule, and we look forward to hearing more about PepTalk as they continue to grow.
