Payslip - the startup that's revolutionizing payroll management

The Irish fintech startup that's on a mission to revolutionize global payroll management by using cloud-based technology
With work-from-home becoming more of a thing, even without the pandemic forcing it on the entire world, traditional payroll models are becoming outdated and don’t function as well as they should. This only becomes more apparent when companies employ people from multiple countries, another thing becoming easier and more common with the rise of remote working. This is where today’s startup comes in.
County Mayo-based fintech startup Payslip aims to deliver a cloud-based payroll delivery platform that is secure, flexible, and scalable, supporting employers in their need to manage their multi-country global payroll. Their goal is to “revolutionize global payroll management using cloud-based technology”, and they are already well on their way to doing so, attracting clients such as Airbus and Fyffes and helping them deal with the upheaval caused by the pandemic.
Doing away with outdated legacy systems and an over-reliance on manual processes, Payslip integrates with ICPs/Aggregators/HCMs and ERP systems, automating payroll processes, standardising payroll data, and consolidating reporting. In so doing, they provide companies with more control, better visibility, and scalability. The ability for employees to access their own payslips and tax documents is also taken care of by the platform, with secure access at any time.
In May, Payslip announced that it had raised €8.3 million in a funding round led by Middlegame Ventures, with participation from Mouro Capital, Frontline Ventures, and Tribal VC. This comes a year after the startup raised €2.7 million in a Series A round led by Frontline Ventures, and brings their total funding so far since 2016 to €12 million. This funding will be used to hire more senior staff for engineering, sales, and other roles. It will also go towards improving the platform further, with new features to make life easier for your payroll department.
