Oracle Startup Cloud Accelerator reimagines enterprise innovation - one startup at a time

by Startacus Admin
Oracle’s Startup Cloud Accelerator focuses on reimagining enterprise innovation through partnerships with startups that foster codevelopment and co-innovation, where both parties win.
With applications currently open for five startups to join cohort 2, we thought it wise to share all the key details on this Bristol-based programme.
Aiming to help startups scale their enterprise-grade product, help build revenue and avail of world class mentoring, this is a 6-month programme that takes collaboration and real partnerships with their startups seriously.
It offers world-class mentoring; coworking space, engagement opportunities with Oracle's more than 430,000 global customers; connections to investors; and of course free access to Oracle Cloud.
Delivered in partnership with SETsquared Bristol, who recently retained their title as ‘Global No.1 incubator - managed by a University’, Oracle Startup Cloud Accelerator is not your typical one-fit-all traditional programme, but instead offers a unique and tailor-made space and programme for startups to grow and scale their enterprise focused product.
Their global mission is to establish a program that is about collaboration and real partnerships with their startups—providing a path to growth for their businesses, Oracle Startup Cloud Accelerators are also based in Austin, Bangalore, Bristol, Delhi–NCR, Mumbai, Paris, São Paulo, Singapore and Tel Aviv.
And although Bristol is the UK’s programme base, there is a wise understanding that partnerships require flexibility, with successful teams being offered coworking space, but accepting it is not a caveat to being accepted onto the programme.
It is not a requirement to take space if you already have it or indeed that you need to be based in Bristol, however it is expected that a minimum commitment per week of on-site engagement will be required. Partnerships work both ways after all!
Coming off a successful inaugural cohort, Marina Traversari, Oracle’s program lead for Bristol and the U.K said of the first group:
“Even while those relationships continue, we are excitedly looking for our next round of startups to partner, collaborate, and support business growth and development. The first program was really successful but we can take lessons learned and make the next cohort even more effective.”
Cohort 1 startups included Duel, a platform to automate and deliver customer advocacy marketing at scale, Interactive Scientific who create immersive digital-science learning and research tools, Trail an app that provides simple, smart checklist for hospitality, retail, and leisure operations management, and iGeolise who have created the TravelTime platform, making maps and data searchable by travel time, rather than distance - fab.
Reggie Bradford, senior vice president, Startup Ecosystem and Accelerator said of their ambitions for cohort 2:
“We look forward to working with more emerging companies in the thriving UK startup market, and are dedicated to continuing to build an ecosystem of codevelopment and co-innovation where startups, customers, and Oracle all win.”
To qualify for one of the five spaces available on the latest Oracle Startup Cloud Accelerator programme, startups must have a minimum viable product, and have been formed for more than six months.
Applications will be scored on four areas: Team, Traction, Tech, and Market Opportunity. Applications close on 28th May, with the cohort 2 launching in July.
