Nova Leah Scoops Grand Prix Startup of the Year Award

upSTART startup pitch finalists for 2017, Nova Leah, specialists in cyber security solutions for
medical devices, picked up the Grand Prix Startup of the Year Award at the Irish National Startup Awards 2018.
Powered by Bank of Ireland and Enterprise Ireland, The National Startup Awards 2018, aim to support, recognise and applaud Irish based businesses on every stage of the entrepreneurial journey from inspiration and learning all the way through to startup, scale up and becoming champions - recognising innovative, successful and aspirational Irish startup companies who have launched their businesses in the last five years.
The 2018 prize fund included a €15k cash prize fund, with the overall Grand Prix winner receiving €10,000 (Nova Leah) and the winner of the Early Stage award winning €5,000.
Founded by Anita Finnegan, the Dundalk based Nova Leah, who reached the final round at last year's upSTART startup pitch competition at 2-day tech & digital event, Digital DNA, have developed a cybersecurity risk analysis system which provides an automated solution for implementing and maintaining cybersecurity requirements across medical device products.
Nova Leah have had a good last 12 months, securiing a major international customer in Fresenius Medical Care, reportedly the world’s largest provider of dialysis products and services, and also announcing 78 new jobs, 50 of which would be based in Dundalk.
