Get those nominations in! Only a few weeks left to nominate talented women in tech for Women in Software Awards 2022.

WOMEN IN SOFTWARE AWARDS final 2022 (1500 × 1000px) (1500 × 600px) (1Calling all women in the software sector! There are just a few weeks remaining for submissions to this year's Women in Software Awards.

Now in its fourth year, the Women in Software Awards initiative by award winning Software developer bootcamp Makers, in partnership with Computerweekly, aims to shine a light on 20 emerging leaders across software development and the amazing work they do. Focusing on what they’ve achieved rather than where they are in their careers, the list aims to celebrate the progress, impact, and innovation of talented women in tech.

The tech community - both men and women – is being called on to nominate and submit the names of women colleagues who should be recognised for their contribution. Women who work in software can also nominate themselves.

All nominees must be working in the sector for six years or less, be able to demonstrate unique talent and vision in their respective positions and also meet the following criteria which Makers use to define impact:

1. Growth – in learning and leadership

2. Influence – in the community and among peers

3. Innovation – contributing to interesting projects at work or independently

The top 20 women from the nominations will be selected by a panel of judges which includes Tanya Powell, Co-CTO of Coding Black Females, Kimberly Cook, Director of Codebar and Amit Sinha, Chief Technology Officer at Microsoft.

Submissions are also still open for the Makers Changemakers List, which recognises the importance of allyship in supporting the progress of women and gender minorities in the tech industry. Mentors of all genders as well as organisations that support and accelerate the careers of women in tech can be nominated. From demonstrating support to launching initiatives, these trailblazers represent the change they want to see in making software development a more inclusive and progressive space for everyone.

Nominations for either The Power List or The ChangeMakers List must be submitted by May 2 and can be done online.

Best of luck to all who are nominated!
