The 2020 Invent competition Semi-finalists are revealed...
Catalyst has announced the 18 NI semi-finalists who have progressed to the next stage of local innovation competition Invent 2020.
Catalyst’s annual Invent competition sponsored by Bank of Ireland UK highlights local businesses that demonstrate innovation in their fields and can prove the commercial viability of a new idea. The event serves as a showcase for emerging Northern Ireland tech and business innovations to increase their visibility and comes with a £33,000 prize fund split between the winners.
With over 100 applications across 6 categories, Invent’s expert judging panel was left with the unenviable task of selecting 18 semi-finalists to progress to the next stage of the competition.
This news comes in the wake of many recent challenges as entrepreneurs, businesses and innovators adapt to the COVID-19 crisis.
Amongst much upheaval, change, pivots, lockdowns and zoom calls, the spirit of innovation in Northern Ireland persists and is as strong as ever.
The Category Semi-Finalists are as follows:
Agri-Science
Born Maverick Beverages, Stallion Services, The Water Boys
