Key speakers, sponsors and panellists revealed for the BIG IDEAS event taking place on 7th March as part of Derry and Strabane Enterprise Week.
Details of the key speakers and sponsors for the in-person and streamed event BIG IDEAS being delivered by Startacus and taking place during Derry and Strabane Enterprise Week 2022 have been announced.
Startacus has joined forces with Derry City and Strabane District Council to deliver the Big Ideas event, bringing on board North West Regional College and Ulster University as Theme partners, Commercial law firm Tughans as Community Partner and InterTradeIreland, RAISE Ventures and RealTime Recruitment as partners for the startup pitch competition.
Following on from last year's LEVELUP event which explored innovation and best practice both locally and globally, in a bid to inspire businesses on surviving and thriving in a post-pandemic world, BIG IDEAS 2022 will focus on the core themes of accelerating ideas & innovation, digital transformation and creating societal change through business.
Taking place with a real-life audience at The Playhouse in Derry~Londonderry on Monday 7th March, Startacus is delighted to confirm that the three key-note speakers for BIG IDEAS 2022 are:
Louise O'Conor, strategic and innovative business advisor and Founding partner at Beta Digital who will deliver a talk on "Digitalisation, Disruption and Digital Transformation - How did we get here and what's next?"
Lucy McKenna, co-founder of The Brave Lab, who will be helping local businesses articulate which of the sustainable development goals ought to be a priority for their organisations.
Karina Kelly, CEO and co-founder of Content Llama, Ireland's leading content configuration technology platform, that raised €2.5 million in 2021, who will be sharing inspiration and encouragement to everyone to back their ideas, and more importantly themselves when working in business and entrepreneurship.
In addition to the three key-note speakers, each of the event sessions will feature an industry-leading panel (both in the room and streamed) with panellists including Dirk Bischoff, Chief Executive of Hatch Enterprise, Selin Yigitbasi-Ducker, Founder & CEO of Goodsted, Professor Sandra Moffett, Professor of Business Analytics at Ulster University Business School, Sue Maguire Business Engagement Manager of Digital Catapult NI, and returning guest Dave Graham Research & Tech Advocacy Lead - Office of Research at Dell.
The one-day event will also feature The Big Ideas 2022 startup pitch competition aiming to showcase and champion innovation in NI and ROI, with up to 10 early-stage tech startups from across the island of Ireland having the opportunity to compete for a £4k cash prize.
Limited tickets to attend the 7th March event in-person at The Playhouse can now be booked. Alternatively, the key-note talks, panels and startup pitch competition will also be available to watch online and you can visit startacus.eventbrite.com to book in for your streamed sessions of choice.
