My Swft - travel planning made easy

by Startacus Admin
My Swft - The startup that's using instant messaging to become your free travel concierge where technology and the human touch are combined.Travel agents used to be all over the place, tempting you with pictures of tropical beaches and sun-washed villas. Now, they are fading into obscurity as people become more frugal with their time and money, and so more determined to do everything themselves. Who has time to find a good travel agent and sit down to discuss a theoretical holiday with them?
The alternative to booking every aspect of a holiday yourself is to use a travel website, which requires you to find the best match for what you want, instead of exactly what you are looking for. This is because they lack human interaction and the personalisation that can come with it.
London-based My Swft is filling that small but important gap between taking time off work to sit with a travel agent and doing it all yourself.
The idea is simple: instant messaging.
If what is lacking from convenient holiday research and booking is human interaction, why not bring that human interaction back, but in a way that is convenient to the customer? By using Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp, you can talk to an actual person at your convenience to discuss what exactly you want in a holiday.
This allows My Swft to give you options tailored specifically to you. They will find you the best deals on everything from flights to accommodation, and will provide you with advice on what to see and do to make the most of your stay. The service is free, as My Swft makes its money through commission on the bookings you make at their suggestion.
My Swft is currently crowdfunding on Indiegogo, and is at 37% of their goal with a month to go. This will be the first time My Swft has been funded from anywhere but the pockets of the three founders, and the money will be used to improve the time it takes to put together holiday suggestions and quotes, improving the chat system, and CRM development.
Even as it stands now, the service sounds like a huge help and time saver, but if (when) they make their crowdfunding goal, they’ll really be off and flying!
