Music Tech Fest

by Startacus Admin
Music and tech under one roof. Like the sound of that? Well, if so, next month’s Music Tech Fest is the place to be. The event which takes place between 17th - 19th May in London aims to bring together all sorts of people with a passion for music tech - from startups and developers through to artists and performers - they’ll all be here. Major industry brands will collaborate and engage with independent creatives in a range of activities and events including performances, demos, presentations and installations.
As you’d expect though for an industry which is truly powered by creativity, this ‘festival of music ideas’ is not going to be your typical stuffy conference affair - ‘experimentation and randomness’ shall be the order of the day, according to the organisers. That alone should prove it’s one not to be missed! Check out this short video which gives a little insight into how things went down last year.
Music Tech Fest
Tickets for the event which incidentally are free (could this get any better?) - are currently available and it is expected that details on some of the big names who will be involved shall be announced pretty soon.
So, whether you’re interested in listening to industry experts speaking or want to get involved in the Hack Camp where you simply make music with whatever you can find nearby, we reckon you should get your tickets sorted now. Last year’s hack involved light sabres and ping pong, so we can’t wait to see what happens this year. Do follow the guys on Twitter too (@MusicTechFest) for all the latest news and announcements.
Also - if you are into music and technology - you might want to take a look at the Other Voices innovation Challenge.
