MoneyConf 2018 banks on Dublin return

With MoneyConf in Dublin reportedly now the fastest-growing fintech event in Europe, we took a look at
what to expect at this years event (happening 11-13th June at the RDS Arena) with some of the world's leading fintech, cryptocurrency and finance experts set to speak.
Now in its 4th year, MoneyConf is Web Summit’s fintech event bringing an approx 5,000 of the world’s leading fintech and banking founders, CEOs, investors to Dublin, where they will will network and learn from the industry’s leading lights about the future of finance, cryptocurrency, technology and banking, regulation and Brexit. This years speaker lineup will includes the leaders of eight fintech unicorns: Stripe, founded by Irish brothers Patrick and John Collison, as well as Transferwise, Revolut, PolicyBazaar, Credit Karma, Klarna, Avant and Kabbage and speakers including:
Sarah Friar, CFO of Square, Ellen Richey, Chief Risk Officer at Visa, Joseph Lubin, Co-Founder of Ethereum ConsenSys, Imogen Heap, Music Maker & Founder of Mycelia, Edith Yeung, Head of 500 Startups in China, Anne Boden, CEO of Starling Bank, Leo Varadkar, Taoiseach of Ireland and Valentin Stalf, Founder & CEO of N26, to name just a few.
Expect insightful keynotes, hands-on workshops and evening social and networking opportunities, with a fintech, cryptocurrency and finance theme throughout.
Web Summit co-founder and CEO, Paddy Cosgrave revealed last week that MoneyConf had confirmed a growth of nearly 3x year on year with at time of annoucement, 4,903 registered attendees for MoneyConf 2018. Last year MoneyConf in Madrid attracted 1,868 attendees.
“We expect MoneyConf in Dublin will have over 5,000 registered attendees. It’s great to be back. We said we wanted to move MoneyConf to grow the event and now I can tell you that is what we have achieved. MoneyConf is the fastest-growing fintech event in Europe. I am very proud to run this event in Web Summit’s home city,” Paddy Cosgrave said.
Paddy Cosgrave also recently announched Web Summit is creating 50 new jobs amid a rapid international expansion with two new offices and hiring across eight cities. Hi-5's all round.
